Welcome, everyone, to the new NikeTalk.com! Since the founding of our community in December of 1999, NikeTalk has outgrown or outlasted no less than three different software platforms in the course of our ongoing efforts to provide you, our fellow members, with the best possible experience. On behalf of our entire team, I'd like to thank you for your patience throughout the upgrade process.
This latest rendition of NikeTalk offers an array of new features designed to make our forums safer, more convenient, and more enjoyable. Yet, for all the changes, we've worked hard to make our revamped website feel like a natural extension of the community that so many of us have grown up with.
Whether you're a newcomer or a longtime veteran, we do recommend that you take a moment to review the guides we've prepared to explain how our new system works. Most functions should feel familiar to you, but there are a few differences to be aware of.
Here are a few of the guides you'll find here...
It was about this time last year we heard from PO on what to expect with the design of the XXXI. It was also about this time last year Jordan Brand gave a teaser on their snapchat story with Kawhi talking about the XXXI. Im ready to move on and thought I'd start a thread to follow any news thats possibly out there in one place. I saw this pic on twitter and although this obviously is NOT it, It got me thinking.
Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 with Adaptive Lacing
“Innovation at Nike is not about dreaming of tomorrow. It’s about accelerating toward it,” says Tinker Hatfield. “We’re able to anticipate the needs of athletes because we know them better than anybody. Sometimes, we deliver a reality before others have even begun to imagine it.”
Welcome the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0, the first performance vehicle for Nike’s latest platform breakthrough, adaptive lacing. The shoe translates deep research in digital, electrical and mechanical engineering into a product designed for movement. It challenges traditional understanding of fit, proposing an ultimate solution to individual idiosyncrasies in lacing and tension preference.
Functional simplicity reduces a typical athlete concern, distraction. “When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten,” explains Tiffany Beers, Senior Innovator, NIKE, Inc., and the project’s technical lead. “Then there are two buttons on the...
Nike Air VaporMax
"The Nike Air VaporMax is an engineering masterpiece: the purest Air cushioning system ever." - Mark Parker
When the original Nike Air Max debuted in 1987, it was the first shoe to showcase a large, visible Air-cushioning unit. In 1995, the Air Max 95 evolved the technology by placing an Air unit along the entire sole. Incremental steps followed, and now Air Max builds upon its nearly 30-year legacy with a leap: the Nike Air VaporMax, which pays off the full promise of Air — to provide lightweight, consistent cushioning that lasts.
The breakthrough came courtesy of new technologies that allow the Nike VaporMax Air unit to act as a standalone outsole. Where previous Air units had to be insulated by a secondary rubber layer for protection and improved durability, new innovation allows designers to incorporate the Air and exterior layer into one holistic VaporMax Air unit. And where previous units needed to be shaped with inflexible structural areas, the new unit...

"adidas unveiled its newest silhouette at a launch event in New York last night: the adidas Originals NMD. Taking design cues from retro sneakers such as the Micro Pacer, Rising Star and Boston Super, the NMD features a sock-like black Primeknit upper, with thick Boost tooling underneath that is enhanced with red and blue elements. A black Stretch Web rubber outsole completes the sneaker, which is due for a global release on December 12 for $170 USD. Stay tuned for news of more colorways as the NMD gains its footing in the sneaker world." - quoted from hypebeast
