This all happened cause grandpa lost to jesse owens lol
Yeah losing to Jesse gave either gave grandpa or perpetuated a deeply rooted complex he had about genetic superiority that he would later pass on to his family.
Also it was interesting seeing the correlation between the abducted people and the patrons that wanted their bodies. Grandpa clearly had aspirations of being the ultimate athletic specimen. Only right that he harbor in the body of a bigger and stronger guy.
The artist turned art dealer couldn't get past the reality that he had lost his vision and would never be able to visually witness art again. On top of that he gave Chris high praise about his unique talents as a photographer and went to recount how he wished he had his ability. I'm sure the art dealer seen this as an opportunity to become the acclaimed artist he always wanted to be but never had the skill of doing so. It's like vicarious living on a grandeur scale and the mentality that many possess that allows them to believe they know how to appropriate another person's gifts and talents better than the individual themselves do.
Really don't know what Grandma's vice was and it would've been intriguing to see who took form of the Brooklyn dude's body.
