Good way to clean cloth material on inside of shoe

I just experimented after seeing a small dirt mark on the inside of my lebron dunkman ii sneakers. Around the ankle will be material that mostly mirrors thatof a t shirt so I decided to use the Tide stain remover pen and it took out the dirt mark right away. Just thought i'd pass this knowledge on to those whoare are picky are me.
