South Carolina vs Tenn is a perfect example of this and SC's DB's are decent aside from the last few games

Yall can flame away, but TCU and Boise are the most complete teams in the country. Oregon and Auburn play no defense. They are really good teams, but its all on offense. TCU and Boise have the offense, defense, and special teams to beat anyone.

* In last 8 games, TCU's D has given up 57 points. In 8 quarters yesterday, Auburn and Oregon gave up 63 points.

*The Horned Frogs held their opponent to single digits in scoring for the sixth time in nine games this season, including five straight contests surrendering seven points or fewer.

*The Horned Frogs have held their opponent to fewer than 200 yards five times this season, including four times in its five MWC contests.

*TCU allowed 128 yards passing and remains the only team in the nation to surrender less than 200 yards in the air in every game this season.

Can't hate on TCU's defense, they're really good...but Boise St?  Every decent team they've played has put up decent points.  For christ's sake they only beat crappy Vtech by 3 points

Boise IS very good at stopping the run, their front 7 is nothing to sneeze at and they've proven that against teams that have run the ball well the last couple years (VT, Oregon, TCU). Their secondary is shaky though. We don't exactly have game breaking receivers, and they've consistently had trouble getting separation in man coverage for the past couple years, aside from when we played scrub teams like Duke and Wake. But our WR's were open all day on Boise's secondary; Tyrod was missing dudes wide open all game and he STILL started out 14/15 or something crazy like that

We came back and put up 30 points just based off the passing game and Tyrod scrambles; if that had been an elite defense we were playing in that game (last year's Bama, Nebraska, UNC with all their players eligible) we wouldn't have scored over 14 in that game. Tyrod is about as good as you can get in our system, but our passing offense is pretty poor compared to what a lot of other teams run. A good quarterback/receiving corps could put up some points on Boise.

I thought eversince the U bolted for the ACC, we would be hanging up title banners all over the place. A loss to a pedestrian UVA team sends my hopes again down the toilet.  Thanks for the acid reflux again fellas.

Who is over-hyping him though outside of Baylor homers? He's a solid, young QB that is still developing and improving. It's not like people are putting him on the same level as a Cam Newton or even Denard Robinson. He's getting some attention because he's the face of a Baylor team that is finally fielding a squad that doesn't completely suck. He used to be way more of a running QB during his freshman year but after coming back from the injury, he's working on becoming a better pocket passer.

Who is over-hyping him though outside of Baylor homers? He's a solid, young QB that is still developing and improving. It's not like people are putting him on the same level as a Cam Newton or even Denard Robinson. He's getting some attention because he's the face of a Baylor team that is finally fielding a squad that doesn't completely suck.
