Goodbye, 2010 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON - twas a great year,

Only saving grace for Boise St/TCU/Utah to get in the NCG at this point would more than likely be a Oregon loss. And checking out their remaining schedule, that might be a tall task to ask.

Teams in control of their own fate IMO is Oregon/Auburn/Alabama. Just lurking is Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Rumors that DeAnthony Arnett committed on his OV to SC

Told you Gunna, this guy is playing everyone.  I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.  I'm putting this recruitment aside till Feb.

Oregon St. is the biggest threat to Oregon by far.

^ This.

And Cal *could* be a trap game, simply because they've whooped us at home recently.

True, they've called our number a few times recently

If I had to rate the remaining opponents it would go as such:
1. Oregon St.
2. Cal (Because of the above)
3. Arizona (Because it's a home game and the Wildcats have been up and down this year)
4. Washington

Cam Newton is Jesus in cleats. Put him on the football field and he parts defenses as Moses did the Red Sea.

Everyone falls before him, the wheat to Cam's scythe. He's celestial -- it's no surprise that he dressed up for Halloween as an angel -- otherworldly, the creation of an advanced intelligence. The man who will redefine the quarterback position for the next generation of football players. Vince Young with throwing mechanics, Tim Tebow without the eye black, Matt Jones without the cocaine. There hasn't been a more exciting quarterback in the SEC since ... ever.

How good is Cam Newton? He has Gene Chizik in the running for national coach of the year.

Seriously, Gene Chizik!

If I was Auburn's coach, he'd have me in the running too.

Newton shouldn't just win the Heisman, he should win the Heisman by the greatest voting margin in its history. O.J. Simpson's 1968 victory stands as the greatest margin of all-time. Cam's should be greater because there isn't even a player that you can make a legitimate argument should win the award other than the Auburn quarterback.

Yep, Cam Newton has been so dominant that he's rendered the Heisman an afterthought.

Oregon's LaMichael James? Child, please. (David Whitley has made some ridiculous arguments in past tussles, but this one is unconscionable. He might as well argue for Brett Favre as the keynote speaker at NOW's next convention). Replace LaMichael James with another Oregon tailback and that tailback is putting up similar numbers. Hell, replace LaMichael James with your Aunt Gertrude and she's going for 1,000 yards on the season and Oregon is still undefeated. That's how good Chip Kelly's offense is. Replace Cam Newton with any other quarterback in the country and Auburn is 5-4.

There is still a month to go, you see. That's plenty of time for the electorate to get off its current Newton High and realize James deserves the vote..
-- David Whitley on why LaMichael James should win the Heisman Trophy
What's more, Cam Newton has almost the same exact rushing stats as LaMichael James. So far this season James has carried the ball 170 times for 14 touchdowns and 1,210 yards, an average of 7.1 yards per carry. Cam Newton? He's carried 168 times for 14 touchdowns 1,122 yards, an average of 6.7 yards per carry. So Cam has equaled James in the only stat that James can put up. Meanwhile Cam has also thrown for 1,573 yards and 15 touchdowns. Cam is on pace to become the second player in NCAA history to pass for 20 touchdowns and rush for 20 touchdowns in one season.

Already Alabama's Mark Ingram has acknowledged he'd have no problem voting for Cam Newton for Heisman. Given the rivalry between the schools that's noble of him. Here's what Ingram should do instead, go ahead and give Cam his Heisman too for being such a fraudulent winner last season. That's how dominant Cam has been this year, he doesn't deserve just one Heisman, he deserves two. If Ingram won't give back his Heisman then the committee ought to go ahead and give Reggie Bush's trophy to Cam as well.

Still doubt me?

Here are 10 signs of Cam Newton's ascension in Auburn. Once you read these you will know what you already should know: Cam Newton is winning the Heisman.

1. You want the real cause of Urban Meyer's indigestion?

Losing Cam Newton.

2. To prepare for Georgia's game against Newton in two weeks, Mark Richt has obtained a tiger from the Atlanta zoo.
They've put a helmet on the tiger and a cage behind center. At the snap they release the tiger and Georgia's players have to tackle the tiger.

"It's the only way to simulate Cam on the football field," Richt said.

3. How amazing is Cam Newton? Even SEC officials don't flag him for celebration penalties.

How else to explain how Newton could climb into the stands at Jordan-Hare Stadium against LSU and lead the crowd in cheers without wearing a helmet while the entire stadium serenaded him with the clock still running.

No flags.

4. Already the Auburn student government association has petitioned to replace the eagle landing on the field before kickoff with Cam Newton flying over the stadium.

That's why he dressed up as an angel for Halloween. To get used to the wings.

5. Cam Newton sent naked photos to Jenn Sterger.

The next day Sterger moved from New York City to Auburn, Alabama. (That's the real reason her show was canceled).

6. Bo Jackson has asked that his jersey be unretired for one game so that Cam can wear it for the Alabama game.

Seriously, how awesome would this be?

7. One Auburn frat boy dressed up as Cam's stolen laptop for Halloween.

Coincidentally, Aubie the Tiger does not need to be fed for two weeks.

8. Alabama radio show host Paul Finebaum's three-year Nick Saban tumescence mysteriously disappeared midway through this season.

Finebaum was apoplectic. "Nick has always been my Viagra," he said. "Until Cam stole his mojo."

9. Newton's threat to Bama fans, "I'mma knock the bangs off you," sent Crimson Tide fans scrambling for the state border.

The only thing Alabama fans value more than their Bama Bangs? Houndstooth colored deer stands.

10. War Cam Eagle!

Get that man the Heisman.
