Yeah, I think I'll always go with a weekly watch for good TV. Binge watching has changed how we view and even create TV, but I think the anticipation, discussion, and not getting to blow through it in a weekend will always be superior.

really cuts down on spoilers also. Won’t have cats binging the entire series in a day and spoiling the ending when you just came to discuss episode 1

Now I actually go to the thread first to see how ridiculous it is then decide if I wanna watch or not.

With HBO shows, it’s ok since that’s how it has been with their shows for decades. That channel has put out some of the best shows ever.

Breh, the live posting and after episode discussions we’d do in the GOT thread was epic.

I especially looked forward to the weeks when you knew some **** happened that irked tdogg2k and that boy would take a first class ticket on Drogon Express to disappear for weeks. Then he’d come back with a manifesto full of salt.

Sidenote: when I was wrestling with the idea of Calvin being Manhattan, I thought it could be a great allegory for how Jesus was whitewashed, based off of the way Veidt depicted Manhattan in his play. I think they managed to tell the same kind of angle to that story even better going through young Will Reeves.
