Recently I’ve started pulling stuff out of my closet I haven’t seen or worn in years. Today it’s my “Chicago” Air Force Operates. Bought these in February 2005. Sick, sick shoe. Barely ever worn. I loved this silhouette back then and still do. I remember Amare and others rocking sick colorways that Nike never released. Bring ‘em back, Nike. One of the best shoes from the 2000s and they work for players of multiple positions. Just a classic Force look that was reimagined in the mid-2000s and done so amazingly well.

Love/loved them. Wish they had released PE’s.

Looks like it's just you and me for now, K kingjay718 LOL. Still wearing them today, all day. Good feel, nice materials, and I forgot how relatively light and comfortable these are, especially for what is now an old Force shoe.

The best thing about these, to me, was always how they dropped in 2005 but easily could have come out in 1993. This is probably the BEST example of Nike resurrecting a line and its classic design language without being a retro and without being too futuristic. It was like they just picked up where they were a decade-plus earlier and released these as if no more than a year or two had passed from the OG Air Force Max, Barkley Maxes, etc.

Amare's cool grey pairs were always my favorites. Whether it be the grey/blue all star pair or the grey/orange PE.
