How to clean the residue off my Lebron X's?

I just picked up some GS Lebron X Cutting Jade's and there is some residue (I'm assuming glue residue) in the front and side of the bottom sole. I want to return or exchange them, but I think they might be out of stock. Is there any hope in removing it? I know it's a small thing, but I would like to try and get it off if possible. I've heard that goo gone, acetone, rubbing alcohol, or nail polish remover might work, but I don't want to risk discoloring it. Any advice?

get a q tip and put a small amount of nail polish remover and scrub until it comes off or you could try picking it off with something hard like a screw driver after you try melting it with a hair dryer or something like that
