I'm commuting to college. VOL: Am I really missing out?

UMD sucks!! I went there and graduated in May never lived on campus and had just as much fun. Staying on campus is overrated. too many slobs, rodents and justutter grossness. the best place to holla at girls is in class, it worked for me. especially them large lectures

i commuted and regret it... i did it for financial reasons like you, but in 10 semesters at school i didn't really make any friends that I still talk tonow.

Ideally, i'd recommend going completely away for school - like at least 3 hours away so you can't really come home except for holidays and breaks.Making connections in college is going to prove to be the most important thing you do there. And it's just a pain doing that when you live at home.

Definitely missing out, nothing like 4 years on a college campus...but with finances, I can understand why you would live at home
