Alexander Acosta. Former Florida State Attorney who gave Epstein a plea deal too good to be true goes on to become Trump’s Secretary of Labor a few years later. He resigns from the position one week after Epstein was arrested again last July.
This woman is in danger. Epstein tried to get her immunity from prosecution in his old plea deal that has since been thrown out.

Just for clarification, there is no reporting on this from inside SDNY or Maxwell’s lawyers.
This is solely based off of a statement made by a former Epstein associate, who claims he has been talking to Maxwell’s spokesperson.
I’d take this with a grain of salt for now and await her plea hearing or reporting from inside SDNY.

Maxwell also has a potential trump card up her sleeve, namely Epstein’s plea deal.
That plea deal granted immunity to any known or potential co-conspirators. That includes Maxwell.
Her lawyers will surely use that defense if she pleads not guilty.

The terms of that deal along with her immunity was overruled last year following Epstein’s arrest. If she still had the immunity they wouldn’t have the authority to arrest or charge her. Rumors were she had been living in a non extradition country for years so she’s a idiot to come back to the states with her name buzzing from the Doc.
