Dudes trip me out with that, like another dude can't be as good as Pac, Big, or Jay. More times than not, I feel Pac and Big get a lot of passesbecause they're dead. The man didn't say Wayne is better than any of them, but to say that he hasn't spit a verse or made a song as good as Pac,Big, Jay, etc. isn't farfetched at all. And that goes for a few other rappers as well. You acted like he said he took over the throne, not so.Originally Posted by abeautifulhaze

Good analysis, but I beg to differ that Wayne got outshined by Jay on Mr. Carter.Originally Posted by NostrandAve68
My opinion on the album, i was a Wayne fan since his SQ mixtapes before most knew he was somewhat of a beast.
Coming up to TC3 i really had no hopes of this album being nearly as good as many thought it would be, Wayne had been spitting the most nonsensical lines every time i heard him, i think it was burnout on his part because he releases so much music. TC3 seems to have more focus lyrically, not as random as his mixtapes but as a whole the album really doesn't seem to have much of a direction, there's substance but its drowned out in randomness. The production is good as most would expect, lyrics are okay... most Lil Wayne fans will be pleased but for someone that was already critical of Wayne this is just gonna give them more ammo to be critical basically the people that don't see the hype about Lil Wayne probably won't appreciate the album but Lil Wayne stans will.
I will say for the supposed best rapper alive, he got outshined by damn near EVER guest rapper, Jay outshined him on Mr. Carter, Fab & Elz got him on You Ain't Got Nothin, Busta got him on La La and im pretty sure if he had Bun B or Andre3000 cameo's it would be the same result.
Overall its an okay album imo probably give a 3/5 3.5 at most, definitely can't play this joint all the way through, replay factor is no where near the previous 2 Carter albums atleast imo. Can't say i'm disappointed in the album because i didn't have high expectations that many had, his die hard fans really thought he'd drop a classic, I thought otherwise.
Fav tracks
Let The Beat Build

Mr. Carter

I'll agree though Fab outshined him.
Juelz outshined them both.
