Congrats to Manu.

I still don't understand why he's even eligible to win this award. He's clearly better than Michael Finley and doesn't he enter the game aroundthe 6th minute of the 1st quarter? It seems a true 6th man is a player who is at least the 2nd best at a given position.

he deserves it but i think an announcer was saying that he likes coming off the bench it was a while ago when he said that though

KORVER.

how the hell is he the 6th man when he plays starter minutes? it's absurd, Sasha Vucjic should be the 6th man.

Uh oh. Blazer announcers are going to attack the league for Outlaw finishing so low. They said in everyone of their games he was the best player in theleague of the bench.

Props to Manu, he earned it.

Jeff Van Gundy was right. The 6th Man Award is a joke of an award. What other league gives an award for being the best bench player??

he deserves every award and recognition he gets.

even then it still it doesn't validate his enormous contributions to his team.

this is just a small addition to the many awards, rings and titles he has under his belt

Undeniably, Manu had the best season of anyone who isn't a starter. Period.

But it's still odd cause some of these guys SHOULD start, just they prefer or got used to being bench guys, so they like coming off the bench, so you haveguys who are possible All Stars playing 38 minutes a game...... off the bench. Kinda doesn't give REAL bench players (Childress, Smith, Maxiell, Outlaw)much of a chance at winning.... so its hard to say Manu didn't deserve it, but you sorta feel for the REAL 6th men.

i mean in the NFL that "12th" of "23rd" guy isnt very important ... MLB has too many injuries and such for their to be a "10th"man ... i mean the nba is the only league forreal that a certain bench player stays in the same role all year and contributes consistently ...

How is it a joke? The 6th man is just as important as the starters, he sets the tone when the starters rest.

I feel that the Spurs are smart for benching Manu instead of starting because when Parker & Duncan sits out Manu is capable of controlling the team.
