My Jordan VI Infrared Transformation

I have always been a fan of the infrareds but have never owned a pair. The 2000 retros are not even wearable and the cost of the pack that came out was ridiculous. So, I purchased a pair of Black/Red VIs on ebay for dirt cheap with the intent to customize and make them look just like the infrareds. I was inspired by the person who used the Garden Craft paint markers. However, I took a diffrent route and went with an acrylic paint that matched perfectly. It only took me 2-3 hrs total. Oh yeah, I also had a few drinks while I was at it 

.

Well, not all pairs from 2000 are wearable. I've seen many pairs with cracks. Very similar to the '99 IVs.

Yes I stripped the paint off first or it would look like a real crappy paint job. The prep work probably took most of my time. I used painters tape to protect the areas around it, stripped the paint, then painted it. Having a good angled brush and detail brush is recommended.

100% acetone/nail polish remover with a cotton ball and q-tips
