I knew that from playing the demo, you can't do cross court passes or even a long pass ahead for a fast break. It always gets stolen, which is annoying at times.
Annoying that you just can't make any and every pass accurate? You have an issue with realism?
Where did I say I have an issue with realism?
I mean what should I think if you are calling bad passes being stolen/thrown away annoying?

Damn I honestly havent been this hyped for the NBA 2K series in a while!

.. Now hopefully the 2K servers arent absolute trash the first couple weeks of release like they have been the past 2 or 3 years.

From OS:

I asked Beluba about this and this is what he replied to me -

I don't think I ever stated that the generic players were editable... but the teams were. So to correct the benches, the user needs to create the missing players and then assign them to the classic teams.

That's going to be a mess. I'll wait for someone from OS who is nice with rosters and CAP to do that. Why would 2k not create the bench players? I know they put in work with this game but I'm getting frustrated with most of the stuff that has been revealed from those who have copies already.

Frustrated? This is by far one of the deepest, and best, basketball games ever made. What more do you want? Sure, there's always room for improvement but if this game was perfect there wouldn't been a need for 2k12, 2k13, etc

They are never accurate. If there's one thing EA got right, it was the aesthetics whether it be the arena accuracy all the way down to the sneakers. 2K has ignored that for too long.

Hyperdunk
Hyperfuse
Nike Shox BB Pro
Lebron 8

no kobe 5's (smh)

Only confirmed what I thought. Only if Live didn't fall off so hard from '10.

For those with OS accounts that want to express the sneaker accuracy or lack thereof in 2K11, Hopefully, a developer answers the questions that have been brought up.

whereas in live10, kobe was wearing his actual kicks he wears in real life.
Dynamic DNA FTW

NBA ELITE DELAYED
27-September-2010
Over the past three years, EA SPORTS development teams have had a laser focus on creating titles packed with innovation and unsurpassed quality. The acclaim from fans and critics on most of our titles the past few years makes us proud and it also motivates us to keep getting better.
This year, we set extremely ambitious goals for our new franchise, NBA ELITE. We are creating a game that will introduce several breakthrough features that have been missing from the basketball genre. Unfortunately, NBA ELITE 11 is not yet ready and we have made a decision to delay next month’s launch. We are going to keep working until we’re certain we can deliver a breakthrough basketball experience.

In the meantime, the NBA season is just around the corner and we have a plan to keep our consumers close to the action:

-NBA JAM will launch on the Wii, as scheduled, on October 5. NBA JAM won recognition this summer as the best sports game at E3 and it’s a blast to play. In addition to the Wii version, we’re going to ship NBA JAM as a standalone product on the Xbox360 and PS3 in time for the holidays. Watch for more news soon on the exact timing of that release.
-For NBA LIVE 10 players, we will continue to offer free content and services throughout the 2010-11 season. We will start with a new roster update so you get all the players for the new season, free of charge. We will also provide free Dynamic DNA updates, daily, for the entire season. That’s a full season of basketball with new rosters and updates, free.

The decision to delay NBA ELITE was hard because the game has great promise. But ultimately we feel this is the right thing to do. We’ve been making steady progress on basketball for the past few years and it’s going to take extra time to make the game.

Why make this decision now? As with all of our titles, we continue to evaluate and improve the code right up until launch. Feedback from consumers is a very important part of the process . NBA ELITE had the benefit of play-testing, a demo and a lot of our own research. All that feedback revealed some concerns about gameplay polish, so we’ve listened to your feedback, and made a judgment that the game would benefit from more time in development.

I want to thank our NBA ELITE development team for their efforts to meet this year’s lofty goals, and we’re behind them as they continue their work. While no one is happy with this delay, we appreciate the support and ongoing feedback from our fans. We’ll have more information coming soon.

only thing is you probably cant assign adidas shoes to kobe. i think in nba 2k8 or 2k9 you could assign any brand shoe so you could have put adidas and reebok on kobe and nike and converse  on garnett BUT in nba 2k10 you could only put nikes on kobes and adidas on garnett....

heres the list of shoes in the game:

Nike sneakers:

Hyperdunk 2010
SHOX Pro
Hyperfuse
Soldier IV
MaxHyperdunk 2010
Lebron VII

Adidas sneakers:

AdiPure
AdiZero Rose
Heat Check
Beast Commander
Big Fundanmental
Crazy 8
Pro Madness
TS AdiPure

Unlocked Jordans at the start of the game :
Pure J
16.5 Jordan
All day
CP3.III
Alpha
Melo M6
Ol' School III

Locked Jordans:

Air Jordan 1-23
Air jordan 2009
Air Jordan 2010
Flight School
Air Jordan 2010 Team
Melo M7
Ol' School IV
Take Flight
Cp3.IV
Pure J
1-6-1-7
Team ISO
rare air
pro strong
Air's
Evolution '85
6-17-23
Jumpman H series

i mean alot of the league wore kobe V last year so you mean to tell me you dont have that shoe in the game YET you have that pathetic atrocity known as the jordan 6-17-23??? come on now
