I still cop the icey white ones and recently picked up some of the 30th anniversary editions. It's still a classic shoe with a classic look and sometimes a welcomed change from the more stylish athletic/basketball shoes I rock. I think others still rock them, but they're not as hyped as they once were.

Yeah the Icy ones are forever a classic, toothbrush game was definitely intact with thoses, i just see alot of the same **** now its cool and all the way people put stuff together with the same kicks but its beginning to become a eye sore

word? i didnt see that but thanks, maybe i wanted to stand out or something you know haha

Lol, someone asked me this same question yesterday. I think it depends on the person and their style. You can't pair Air Force One's with skinny jeans--so it's really all about the person in my opinion. I have seen a few hot pairs, but personally? I can't do it. My jeans aren't as baggy as they were in the early 2000's when I was in High School.

Nah... I never buy those pieces of trash. They're not cool anymore.

...Actually, on second thought, I have a few -

This is just a small portion of the stash. AF1s are the greatest shoe ever. Come on over the thread in Showcase.

And, I saw your post in the other thread - if you're talking older stuff and you in the 8.5 - 10 size range, PM me.

last pair of air forces i picked up where the nike livestrong busy p for under $180.00 DS
besides that no new airforces in the past 4 years for me

i never got a pair of the mr cartoon nike livestrong

if i could get em for $250.00 or under DS i would pick them up

but yeah i dont buy air forces anymore but you never know if something hot comes out

high top's af1's are a big pass

YEAH, I just picked up three new CW, check my avatar for the orange, and grey ones I got on in Vegas.  I also picked up a red and a khaki CW.  As you get older you tend to move away from Jordan's and other "rarer" shoes, AF1's, various Air Max.

af1 actually making a slight comeback. i've copped both YOTD thus far this year, and those hot punches,.. did a couple i.d.'s too
i been seeing them around again and not just in the hood

I'm wearing a pair right now... They are so heavy and just absolutely uncomfortable. I'm only wearing them cause they were free and it is raining outside

All white AF 1 lows are a must for me for the spring/summer of every year since like '01.

Haven't purchased any in years.

Uptown's are classic though. I don't think there is such a think as going out of style, because part of being a "sneakerhead" is wearing what YOU like. Clark Kent, Mayor and Greg Street always rep.

I'm not a fan because the quality of the leather is garbage, and they expect you to pay premium prices for what should be the norm. White on whites became disposable.

The irony of this though is that AF1s are actually among the rarest shoes out there, if you go vintage. I say this all the time, but I can go into Flight Club anytime I want (I live in NYC), whip out my credit card and walk out of there with a half dozen South Beaches or Galaxy Foams. That's nothing. I have no interest in doing that, but it's there for the taking. On the other hand, if I asked you to go find me some of these, it would take a lot more than just money...

That's the good ol days, because people who bought them bought them for wearing and not to resell, stock or trade.

Now guys spend so much they're scared to wear their kicks.

Preach! It's either what you mentioned or wear them ONCE to school, a camp-out or WDYWT photo and relist them on eBay, Kijiji, CL, etc...

The 'Basic' AF1 is a shadow of its former self though - I've held and felt softer plastics than the junk they throw on it.
