It would literally take zero effort for them to use the proper "Nike Air" molded sole.
That Nike mold has consistently been produced for the Air Flight 89 since its initial retro run in 99/00.
Essentially these molds are readily available and it would simply be a branding call (or lack of appreciation for detail) if they wind up not using them on the AJIV.
The shared tooling for the AJIV and AF89 cut production costs tremendously back in the day.
Let's hope we see it on the IV again.

Very good point.
The closest comparable scenario for the All Star White Cement III release would be the Air Revolution being in production at the time (I feel like there were more lower end models with the same sole that I'm just completely drawing a blank on) I guess, which isn't quite the same.
I'm right with you on hoping that Jordan Brand doesn't play games on the sole though.
