(1) Anyone know what year the OG came out? Because if you try googling it, it is surprisingly hard to find a clear answer. Late 70's I think.

Also has anyone tried the flyknit version of these? I want to get a pair and play tennis in them, possibly. How are they? Thanks

Here's what Nike Chronicle Deluxe has. The Wimbledon and the Racquette look pretty similar - not sure what the differences were. But it seems like early 70s all the way through to 1980 could be possible.

Wow, thank you, hpb. Had no idea about the raquette and the Wimbledon. Possible they had to change the name to 'tennis classic ' later on because Nike didn't own rights to the name Wimbledon? Looks like the look of the shoe didn't change from say the early to mid 70s , into the 80s.

Ta2, thanks for the Japanese translation also.
