I too and re-entering the market.
It really depends on what you will be using it for/watching.

And what room its going in.

For me - I'm basically 90% sports and most the remaining 10% that I watch will be HD. I'm not a huge movie or video game buff.

I just don't want ghosting on sports and my living room and bedroom are relatively dark. No direct sunlight would be hitting it causing a glare.

I've been looking at Samsung as well because Best Buy has good promos via Samsung.

I would say go with a sony BRAVIA KDL-32SL130 32 or kdl-32s300. i have one in my bedroom and i think i made thebest decision.

That samsung is an excellent TV.

I have the older version 26inch model and its perfect. Im guessing newer models improve, so that probably is good enough.

Mili you already know the deal on REGZA's. You've seen ours. It wasn't even hooked up to an HD source when we played rock band and it still lookedspectacular. 42" strong

we have a sony Bravia XBR5 LCD. It's a 46" though, but I'm sure they come in 32". We had a Samsung before too and no complaints

Both the Samsung 3253 and Toshiba Regza 32HL67 are great choices. Samsung is highly rated on Cnet + good reviews at AVS while the Regza has the one of the bestpictures I've seen from a non-1080p 32" LCD.

Both have 3 HDMI inputs which is nice + hard to find that many on a 32" TV.

I think the 32" REGZA is 1080p. I know our 42" is so I assumed the 32 would be the same. Still the best TV IMO.

Regzas don't output 1080p until you get to 42". Anything smaller will accept a 1080p signal but it will be downscaled to its native resolution.

Sony makes a 32" XBR4. It is possibly the best 32" display I have seen. Has 3 HDMI ver. 1.3 inputs that can support a full 1920 x 1080progressive scan signal (even though the television's native resolution is 1366 x 768). Of course, having the 120 Hz refresh rate like others havementioned make this television absolutely gorgeous while watching content like sporting events. If you will be diving into the world of High Definition moviecontent a la Blu Ray Disc, then you would also be surprised that it will accept the 24 frames per second that film was shot in. 10-bit processing gives youway more colors than traditional LCD's with 8-bit processing (2^10 >>>> 2^8). Not to mention that it will also have better speakers than theSamsung. If you can find one of these at your local tv dealer, I highly suggest you seriously give it some consideration. That Samsung is nice, but you candefinitely invest a little bit more and have an incredible television.
