Maybe to you but I think it's one of their best and besides X&Y it's the Coldplay album that I listen to the most often. Justcurious...what makes you say it's their worst?
 
Basically I'll tell you how I started listening to Rock ........ first find a couple of songs or artist that you like ....... then get the album with thosesongs .... from there find similar artist/artist in that genre ........ just jumping right in with albums can/will be overwhelming and confusing

Maybe start with some Rage Againt the Machine, Linkin Park or RCHP ... vocally these bands are really close to Rap ... just youtube them and go there

^^I just went and looked it up and the suicide wasn't that night but 6 months later. The person who gave it to me told me it was that night. Still a greatalbum
