How do you obtain this ability?
How long does it take?
How much control do you REALLY have?
Can things go wrong Inception style?
What are your wildest experiences, even if you've only done it accidentally?

I just want more information, it sounds

joseph gordon-levitt made a documentary about it, its actually pretty interesting, it was an extra that came with the inception blu ray package if you want to look into that, and in the documentary says that if you actually think about becoming lucid before you sleep, you will indeed increase your chances of actually becoming lucid.

i dont try to lucid dream every night, but its just if i have the right dream that i try to make myself aware. there have been times where i've woken up and thought "man, how could i not know i was dreaming?". i think the 1st step is to realize youre dreaming, no matter how unreal the dream may be. i've had plenty of experiences where i've told myself i was dreaming and as i tried to manipulate my dream, i'd be in a state of half sleep/ half dream. i could feel myself waking up but i would tell my body to keep resting, weird i know

one lucid dream i've had a couple of times is where i can fly. the beginnings are different like i get caught smoking bud (but i dont smoke at all), and then i end up jumping, and then doing another air jump, and then just jumping building to building. i can feel it in my chest, a kind of adrenaline rush.

Thanks, I'll definitely have to take a look at that documentary.

Lucid dreaming is basically when go to sleep and when you start dreaming you have full control of your dream, and awareness that you're dreaming. Have you ever been in a dream, and realized your situation wasn't real, and then started to manipulate parts of it? Well, having deep lucid dreams is supposed to be a lot more powerful than that.

Lucid dreaming is when you're in a state of dream, but your consciousness is not fully asleep.  You're aware that you are dreaming while remaining in this phase of being in between of sleep and awake.  With practice you can have near total control of your actions and surrounding within your dreams.  What I found most difficult is fighting the laws of physics which I'm used to in the real world.  Totally letting go is hard and your consciousness will try everything to make sense of things.  For ex., I can fly but not that well because of gravity still being present in my dreams.

With constant practice anything is possible though...

Wiki has a sick article on it:

Lucid Dreaming is a great state to astral project...

A lot of times I realize that I'm dreaming but I rarely remember to try and see what I can get away with.

One of the few lucid dreams I can remember, I was falling from the sky above my street and I was like, 'this can't be life' and I just pulled out right before I hit the ground, after that it was a wrap. I was flying around like Superman. I still remember falling from the sky and being scared %$%%!+#% it was so real and when I pulled up right before I hit the street it was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life, conscious or not.

This happens to me rather frequently. I always end up pushing the envelope and have to wake up before I get murked. I just get too scared of what's going to happen because everything feels so real. I always wake up shook because it felt like I was really there

A lot of times when I was younger and I had nightmares where people were trying to kill me, I often realized and inside the dream, I'd try and force myself awake by hitting into walls and stuff. One time I forced my eyes open with my hands. That was weird cause my eyes were supposed to be open in my dream, but I forced them open anyways to wake up.
