Instead of sending me a check for $7,400, it's for $14,800!!
Now I'm not naive enough to think I'm gonna "get away" with it, but I'm just wondering what the protocal is for (what seems like) an error like this?
BTW, my house was $74,000, so my refund should've been 10% of that.
I did my regular taxes in mid-January, then amended them on Feb. 1st when I was legally allowed to claim the home buyer credit.
My original return was only $4,200 if that matters.
