Steelers host a safety
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 8, 2010 11:53 AM ET

Ryan Clark looks like a goner in Pittsburgh, so the Steelers are quickly moving to replace him.

The team will host Will Allen Monday according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review; Allen spent the last six years with the Bucs.  Allen is a logical target because he's a special teamer first, and the Steelers need to make big improvements in that area.

Clark is currently visiting the Dolphins.  Pittsburgh originally signed Clark to a low-cost deal in free agency when no one else wanted him, and may try to repeat the coup with Allen.
Leigh Bodden is still in Houston
Plenty of you have asked for an update regarding free-agent cornerback Leigh Bodden.

So here it is.

There are no developments.

That is all.

Actually, there's more.  We're told he's still in Houston and that there could be a development this afternoon.

Or there could be no developments.

That is all.

This time I mean it.

That's great to hear.  Dude had a great year last season, especially as a reliable 3rd down receiver.

On the eve of Sam  Bradford throwing too, but that group of DL is still underwhelming. Robbins, Carriker, Ryan and Scott. QB it is, I guess...

Whats the word on LT and Thomas Jones ?

I can't quote but a couple pages back someone said the pats should go after Smoot.

Being a skins fan. If your franchise plans on being able to stop a slant or a curl route you should stay away from Fred " 1st down waiting to happen" Smoot. Seriously!

Good job Marvin and Mike.

Yea, read that on Deadspin over the weekend.  Knowing that it makes me feel good about this year, if dude wants to be able to pay all that child support he has to ball out
