There is one person in particular who comments on a Yankee blog ALL THE DAMN TIME about the Sox...it's a shame there is no ignore function there.

He goes on rants about how ESPN and TBS announcers slurp the Sox, how the team gets lucky breaks, and how the city of Boston is classless in general. Heapparently had bad experiences in that city before so it's led to this delusional hatred towards anything Boston-affiliated.

Other people (even the webmaster of the blog) have told him to tone it down or else he was going to get banned mainly because of his annoying behavior.

Also, Lester > every starter in the AL not named Felix Hernandez or Zack Greinke.

Yup, great weekend. Hitting was where it needed to be. Varitek, still hate when that guy has to hit. It seems like hes always the one up with guys in scoringposition. And the pitching was back to playoff caliber this weekend, and Dice comin back Tuesday. We are lining things up for a strong finish and playing ourbest baseball going into the playoffs. Just the way it should be.

Texas about to lose the second game of the double header. 4 games up in the wild card this week could be the death of the Rangers. Gonna have to find a pic forif we get 6 up. Because at that point I think its a wrap.

lets keep this ball rolling:

John Lackey, RHP (10-7, 3.53) @ Daisuke Matsuzaka, RHP (1-5, 8.23)
Joe Saunders, LHP (13-7, 4.81) @ Paul Byrd, RHP (1-1, 6.08)
Ervin Santana, RHP (7-8, 5.52) @ Josh Beckett, RHP (15-6, 3.82)
Yankees-Red Sox to open 2010 season
Comment Email Print Associated Press

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees will open and close the 2010 season against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, just the fifth time in 50 years the rivals both start and finish against each other.

Most openers are set for April 5, Major League Baseball said Tuesday, but it seems likely ESPN will shift the Yankees and Red Sox for the Sunday night game April 4. In the past 50 years, the Yankees also opened and closed against Boston in 1960, 1970, 1992 and 2005, according to STATS LLC. The only times they both started and finished in Boston were 1938 and 1950.

Other AL openers April 5 are: Cleveland at Chicago, Detroit at Kansas City, Minnesota at Los Angeles, Seattle at Oakland and Toronto at Texas. Baltimore starts at Tampa Bay the following day.

All NL teams are to open April 5: San Diego at Arizona, Chicago at Atlanta, St. Louis at Cincinnati, San Francisco at Houston, Colorado at Milwaukee, Florida at New York, Los Angeles at Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at Washington.

Outdoor baseball officially returns to Minneapolis on April 12 when the Minnesota Twins host Boston in the first game that counts at Target Field. Minnesota is to host St. Louis in exhibitions on April 2-3.

Other AL home openers include Cleveland at Detroit and Toronto at Baltimore (April 9); Texas at Cleveland, Oakland at Seattle and Chicago at Toronto (April 12); and Los Angeles at New York (April 13).

In the NL, remaining home openers have San Diego at Colorado, Los Angeles at Florida and Atlanta at San Francisco (April 9); Milwaukee at Chicago, Washington at Philadelphia, Houston at St. Louis and Atlanta at San Diego (April 12); and Arizona at Los Angeles (April 13).

The 14th season of interleague play starts with series from May 21-23 and continues with interleague games from June 11-27. Among the pairings are the Mets at Baltimore in a rematch of the 1969 World Series (June 11-13), Atlanta at Minnesota in a rematch of the 1991 World Series (June 11-13), the Yankees at Arizona in a rematch of the 2001 World Series (June 21-23), Cincinnati at Oakland in a rematch of the 1972 and 1990 World Series (June 21-23), Boston at Colorado in a rematch of the 2007 World Series (June 22-24) and Philadelphia at Toronto in a rematch of the 1993 World Series (June 25-27).

The Yankees and the Dodgers, who met in 10 World Series, play in Los Angeles from June 25-27.

The Los Angeles Angels host the All-Star game July 13.

Hope the Sox can take care of the Angels so that the Yankees can lock up home-field advantage for the postseason.

youkilis @ the hospital with back spasms
vmart back in cleveland for a family matter

hope things are OK

Damn didnt know all that about Youk and Martinez. Hope everythings good.

But on a brighter note Dice with a great outting, 6 inning shut out against a very strong offensive team. Even worked around 2 or three lead off walks toFiggins which usually leads to atleast one run. Rotation is looking strong again. Bullpen is good to go. And the Yankees about to lose and Texas down 4-1 toOakland again.

It looks like he slimmed down a little. He looks like he's in much better shape.

Nice win, but that was a gift.

Green should've been out. I'm not so sure the other calls were wrong, but the Angels got screwed pretty bad on that ball 4 call.

Im not gonna lie Nick Green struck out twice in his at bat. But That win put Texas out of it pretty much since they seem like they are allergic to winning allof a sudden.

Definitely. What's the harm in trying? He just watched it drop, like they just gave up after all the bad calls.

Yo all I got to say is LETS GO.

That was crazy. Just makes it better that my boy is an Angels fan. So he gets it bad right now. And since it seems like this is a valid arguement. When we makethe playoffs does the wildcard team automatically not get home field. Because we could very well have the second/first (that still isnt out of the question)best record in the AL. But say we do get the Wild Card would we have home field if we have a better record than the Angels.

Or just because they won their division would they get it? Those technicality rules get me confused sometimes.

I dont care if the umps did win that game or whatever anyone wants to say, Fuentes lost that by putting himself into that situation. No doubt about it Greengot a lucky call on that Ball 4, but Fuentes lost it.
