If he does fall past the Cardinals at five, I see Dallas trying to make a move for him which would completely suck

Boise State Pro Day

Titus Young (WR)
Young ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 and 4.40 seconds, for a 4.41, according to the scout who provided times to the Idaho Statesman. That’s better than the 4.47 he ran at the NFL Scouting Combine. At 4.41, Young would have ranked fourth among wide receivers at the combine.
However, several scouts told Young they clocked him at 4.35 seconds or faster.

Young also ran the short shuttle in 4.25 seconds, the three-cone drill in 6.90 seconds and the long shuttle in 11.08 seconds and jumped 35 inches in the vertical. He would have been sixth at the combine in the long shuttle. He looked sharp in wide receiver drills, too.

— Avery, who wasn’t invited to the combine, enhanced his case for a training camp invite. He ran the 40 in 4.45 seconds (eighth at combine), bench-pressed 225 pounds 20 times and was strong in the agility drills — 4.16 in the short shuttle (eighth), 11.42 in the long shuttle (sixth) and 6.97 in the three-cone drill (tied for 14th). His 38-inch vertical would have tied for third among running backs at the combine and his 10-foot, 5-inch broad jump would have been second.

— Coughlin, who spent the past three years as a backup behind Kellen Moore, threw the ball extremely well during the receiver drills. He has NFL size and arm strength, which prompted a couple of scouts to sit down with him after the workout ended. He was impressive enough that he’s now considered a possible free-agent signing.

— Wide receiver Austin Pettis only did the position workout. He was happy with his testing at the combine, where he ran a 4.56 40-yard dash. He made one spectacular sliding catch along the sideline.

— Safety Jeron Johnson had a good day with at least two defensive backs coaches (Arizona, Jacksonville) in town to watch him. He posted a 31-inch vertical (tied for seventh at the combine) and was solid in the agility drills with a 4.20 short shuttle (tied sixth), 11.80 long shuttle and 6.95 three-cone (fifth).

— Cornerback Brandyn Thompson ran the 40 in 4.48 seconds, improving on his combine time. That would have tied for 12th at the combine.

— Defensive end Ryan Winterswyk ran the 40 in 4.92 seconds. He had 22 reps on the bench press and a 30.5-inch vertical. He looked good in the receiving drills and also worked out as an outside linebacker. He could be picked up as a project at tight end or as a defensive end, with outside linebacker in a 3-4 system a long shot.

— Nickel Winston Venable ran a 4.69 40. He was strong in the agility drills — 4.30 short shuttle, 6.98 three-cone (tied for fifth at combine) and 11.59 long shuttle. He also had a 34-inch vertical (fifth). He’s trying to find a position where he fits and has slimmed down to make a run at safety.

I'd be very content if the Packers end up getting either Justin Houston or Brooks Reed.

- Where will the Dallas Cowboys go in roundone?  Evidently the team is not in love with Prince Amukamara and won’tuse the 9th selection on him.  This on the heels of sources telling usthe team will cut veteran Terence Newman.  All signs continue to pointto an offensive tackle, specifically one that can play the right side. Sources told us the team will cut Marc Columbo and Leonard Davis.  Theyhope to bring Davis back at a smaller salary.  At the same time theyhope to resign Doug Free and Kyle Kosier.  Dallas then plans to shopthe 9th pick and trade down to grab their right tackle.  Sources havetold us their is already a plan in place with a team that holds amid-first round pick if either Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton are still on the board when Dallas is called to the clock.  Right now sources have told us Gabe Carimi sits atop their wish list as they feel he is the only player they feel can quickly move into the starting line-up.  Tyron Smith can’t be far behind as the Cowboys are bringing the USC junior in for a visit.
