I got this thread pinned so I'm rarely looking at the thread title but I click out in to s&t like damn we still celebrating his bday? After seeing him constantly attack and try to dunk I'm not surprised.

No point in wishing on an injury on another player just to prove a point. DSJ isn't on this team, rather focus on Frank.

Lettuce be real for a moment: at 8 we all wanted the team to go in different directions...
Team Dennis Smith JR - freak athlete, knee issues - showed athleticism in pre season but didn't play in the opener because of knee issues
Team Malik Monk - scores easily, defensive liability - good preseason but struggled in the opener
Team Frank Ntikitilinasayitdifferenteverytime - young and full of potential, raw not sure if game will translate to NBA - hesitant, young and still learning
Point being, it is still way too early to be questioning the pick and wishing we went another route at that position. Any of these dudes can emerge as an All-star one day, tear an ACL attacking the lane, or end up being Johny Flynn 2.0
Personally, I am enjoying watching all 3 develop their potential in this league but obviously am cheering on Frank the most. If he can start orchestrating the offense to get good ball movement and allow KP to get the rock in spots where he can work one on one we will be golden.

When you suck as bad as the Knicks have you HAVE to take a risk. DSJr floor was higher than Franks. We all knew that. But Frank had the ability to become a long, athletic guard who can transcend positions.
The NBA is transitioning into a position less sport. DSJr is a great SG/PG but you can't put him on a longer guy or have him play help defense on a long guy. You can do that with Frank if he can bulk up

Fox was the one I really wanted. Kid doesn't shy away from the moment and is pass first when he needs to be. I trust Kentucky point guards and how Cal prepares them for the NBA. Also it made too much sense for a Fox + Unicorn combo.

Aside from KP, we really haven't won much in the draft anyways. All those other names actually ended up being more effective than our picks.

Even if we drafted DSJr he would've been a 15/7 guy and the Knicks would be like "not good enough" and let him enter free agency and become a 24/9 guy on another team
