One of numerous other stats, yes.

Y'all hate advanced stats until they help support your argument

I'm just trying to speak blog boy. Yall love advanced stats until they hurt your argument

addict4sneakers addict4sneakers said book was top 30. There's 30 guys on the all star team if I'm not mistaken. What other all star gets a pass for not reaching 25 wins? Is Booker's situation that unique? I'll wait

Actually, because I am a get-off-my-lawn, back-in-my-day old man, I don’t pay attention to advanced stats either way...

Advanced stats gotta be a scam  all last season they were used to make Frank Nitty one of the best in his draft class :nerd:

I think people overlook the marketing aspect of it. The use of words like advanced, true and real to imply that these numbers are somehow superior when all these formulas have serious flaws

To be fair ya'll Love advance stats until it's used to combat ya'll arguments also. just the way this thread goes.

One can not possibly think that Darren Collison is in any way, shape, or form a better basketball player than Devin Booker.

Like everything else in this thread, context is needed.

The advanced stats say collison has more impact on winning, do they not? You sounding real barbershop right now bro. Wave check :nerd:

One can't believe that AT ALL, but i didn't take that from his post whatsoever. what i took out of him posting those stats was that Devin Bookers actual impact on the game doesn't add up to the numbers he puts up.... at all. I think that's a fair criticism even if he is on the Suns tho.

Because when advanced stats are used to show the negatives of other players... context tends to be ignored also. But the argument for Bookers game not helping his team much can certainly be made. He's young he will continue to grow, but as of right now it hasn't translated to anything but pretty numbers.

whenever the Stats don't match the narrative... suddenly guys in here go all in on the "eye test" and want to start showing game clips. which would be okay if the same guys weren't in here bashing others when they do the exact same thing

Advanced stats are the gift and the curse

More to BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE point, out of All players in NBA history to average atleast 25/4/5 he has the worst amount of WS in NBA history, only behind Monta Ellis.

To put this in more perspective Kemba this year is at double Book's contribution (6.3 vs 3.3) and it's not like he's playing with the Warriors out there (granted it does help that he plays in the East).

So again it's completely justifiable for people to have questions about Booker.

Also we gotta stop this BS about assist %. It doesn't mean you're some elite passer. It moreso indicates how much you have the ball in your hands. If a team has 10 total assists and one guy has 9, he'll have a 90% assist rate. Whether he has 0 or 15 turnovers, his assist % doesn't change. It doesn't negate turnovers. Turnovers are bad. Periodt

"The Lakers are trash, they don't know how to build a contender" - Fanbases that NEVER built a contender

ALA ain't nothing but the socialist party of the NBA thread
