Speaking from wearing SB dunks for years now, you don't notice the zoom air in the heel much when it's inflated, but you definitely feel it when it's deflated (on older pairs like 10+ years up). I've been throwing SB insoles in my 1s for a long time now though and it's definitely more comfortable that way due to the thickness and added padding in the forefoot. SB insoles are the business.

Other SBs like janoskis (used to) come with just the heel zoom and no forefoot softer foam. Regardless, the thickness is still the same and more comfortable than most other nike insoles I've had.
