🕷🕸 Chi’s

in the toe box does anyone feel like the sole and the toe box sometimes might separate easily? looking at my uni to chi's and my pine greens 2020 booth look like that. Here are pics of the unc to chi's. Should i be worried about this coming apart if i wear them?

I’ve been meaning to post the same question and similar pics for a while now. Noticed this on my remastered shadows and black toes. Black toes have been worn a fair amount, definitely far from beaters, and shadows hardly worn. It’s very weird, not just like normal glue separation, but almost like an unpainted part of leather has become exposed, which doesn’t make sense, as I’d assume the cuts are painted all the way down. And you mean the toe panel and sole, not toe box, just to be clear.

Have many others seen this on their pairs? Or just me and PDF guy? It’s definitely something you might not notice unless you go looking closely for it. Has me a bit worried about the longevity of some pairs...

Sorry Idk why those uploaded as pdf's weird. Have you noticed any separation at all? i know at the end of the day we could reglue it but just something i've noticed on my last two pairs

All good man, sometimes this site just acts weird. I wouldn’t really call it separation just yet, exactly, but looks like it could easily happen.

And honestly, I don’t know how easy this would be to re-glue, it doesn’t seem like straight forward separation. As I was sayin, it’s like a weird section of leather with no paint is becoming exposed. Maybe the leather is actually tearing away from the sole?

I hope others here will take a look at their collections and see if this is happening to them. It seems modern Jordan 1’s might not be the tanks everyone says they are.

It looks like part of the polyurethane topcoat separating moreso than separation where it’s glued
