I saw someone somewhere say that the account that put out this delay news is the same account that gave the false Chicago 1 news that was almost immediately said to be false. Any truth to that?

Pretty obvious Nike/JB got scared of a huge release like this bricking at MSRP and sitting on shelves until they’re offed for massive discos.

Not sure how much delaying the release is going to help, seems like AJs are dead in terms of hype and aren’t coming back anytime soon.

I don’t see how it can help, when they’re pushing the release back to a time when retro grails are getting released every other week.

Seems to me that these will probably get lost in the shuffle.

I dunno I got metallic burgundy 85’s after the euro and Asian release for under retail on StockX and there’s nothing questionable about them. Probably a lot of retailers overseas that already have their shipment. 6-8 weeks out a lot of these small spots are already moving GRs for under retail on the secondary market to speed up their turnover rate.

If these get pushed back 3-4 mos they aren’t gonna do better so I don’t see the reasoning being poor sales. Reimagineds have been produced in huge numbers so probably logistics issues getting all global supply to retailers before the release date.

Only thing I can think of is that we don’t know the stock numbers on all those grails.

They might be hoping people who strike out on SBB 1.0s will settle for these Poor Man’s Black Toe 1s lol

Nike isn't doing too hot as a company right now. They recently fired their CEO and replaced him with a 16 year veteran with the company.

there are only 2 options:
As stores are forced to hold real pairs for a later release, the current stock available are fakes, or
Or backdoors had to pull there sales as they can't fulfill orders now.
