Hideo Kojima announces the Metal Gear franchise is coming to Xbox 360; Metal Gear Solid: Rising to feature Raiden.

Konami's Hideo Kojima took the stage at Microsoft's E3 press conference and told the crowd that his famed Metal Gear franchise is finally coming to the Xbox 360. In fact, the new Metal Gear title that's been teased to death over the past few weeks will arrive on Xbox 360.

Called Metal Gear Solid Rising, the game will feature Raiden as the main character, not Solid Snake. Kojima's delivery of the news cast doubt on whether or not Metal Gear Solid Rising would be a traditional entry into the Metal Gear Solid franchise.


The game is also announced for PS3. Expect more details on Metal Gear Solid: Rising to come out later today.

Actually I might have misfired, when they introduced it they said PS3 but G4 reports only PC and Xbox and they only showed a 360 logo at the end.
