I tell myself every year, but really, I'm going to save them this time. Probably just the first and last prediction thread. Then in February when theCowboys haven't won the Super Bowl, we can all have a good laugh.
So yeah, here it goes:
NFC EAST
1. Dallas
2. New York*
3. Philadelphia*
4. Washington
NFC North
1. Green Bay
2. Minnesota
3. Detroit
4. Chicago
NFC South
1. New Orleans
2. Tampa Bay
3. Carolina
4. Atlanta
NFC West
1. Arizona
2. Seattle
3. St. Louis
4. San Francisco
AFC EAST
1. New England
2. Buffalo
3. New York
4. Miami
AFC North
1. Cleveland
2. Pittsburgh*
3. Baltimore
4. Cincinnati
AFC South
1. Jacksonville
2. Indianapolis*
3. Houston
4. Tennessee
AFC WEST
1. San Diego
2. Oakland
3. Denver
4. Kansas City
Wild Card Round
New York over Arizona
Philadelphia over Green Bay
Indianapolis over Cleveland
San Diego over Pittsburgh
Divisional Round
Philadelphia over Dallas
New York over New Orleans
Jacksonville over Indianapolis
New England over San Diego
Conference Championships
Philadelphia over New York
New England over Jacksonville
Super Bowl
Philadelphia over New England
NFL MVP: Ladainian Tomlinson
Offensive POY: Brian Westbrook
Defensive POY: Jared Allen
Offensive ROY: Darren McFadden
Defensive ROY: Chris Long
A few things:
1. The three best teams in the NFC are in the East, and it's not even close. Green Bay isn't going to have what they had last year without Favre. NewOrleans is still nothing special, but they'll get the first round bye sort of by default. Then there's the NFC West, which they should just get rid ofbecause nothing good will ever come from that division. How can you be the worst division in the league for so long?
2. Dallas isn't winning a playoff game again this year, although they will be the best team in the NFC during the regular season.
3. I think Indy's reign on top of the South comes to an end this year.
4. McFadden wins POY by default. I don't see any other rookie that will have even a decent impact this year. Maybe Devin Thomas, but I don't likerookie WRs doing big things.
5. Eagles win the Super Bowl. Yes, I said it.
