I’m confused. The IG pic shows what looks to be leather, but then earlier pics showed a different material that’s “tear away”. Which one is it?

Is the top layer on the CNY’s paint? Might be possible to hit these with a sealer to keep the wear away aspect to a minimum...Or at least slow it down ...

It’s grade A genuine bonded leather. Neiman Marcus & Saks Fifth Avenue (expensive dress shoes) or some of there competitors sometimes don’t even use that kind of leather.
