Wrong.

His McDonald's deal is remarkably low compared to what analysts expected, and he took a huge pay cut on his newest Nike deal.

He's not at all endorsement gold.

He'll need championships for that.

prove that

End of story.

please explain?

lebron is inked to the most popular beverage company- coca cola
lebron is inked to the most popular food chain-mccdonalds
lebron is inked to most popular insurance-state farm
lebron is inked to the biggest athletic apparal market- nike
also has bubbalicious, powerade etc..

His name alone can get him any contract he wants from any endorsement. He understands that he cant overwhore himself out to 50 different things because it will hurt more than it helps.

All ny can do is put billboards up for tourists to see.

You don't think there's more value in Lebron being in NY for McDonald's, Nike, Coke, State Farm, etc etc?  Why do you think ad space in a city costs more than on some rural highway?  In a major magazine compared to a local newspaper?  During the Super Bowl rather than a pre-season game?  It's all about exposure and despite the fact that Lebron is already a high profile celebrity, being in NY would only elevate that.

Obviously, the other side of it is winning championships.  Winning championships in Miami would likely have as much value as not winning them in NY.  In Cleveland?  Not as clear cut but it's pretty obvious Cleveland would need to do a lot more to get over the hump.

My point is, you don't understand marketing if you believe that being in NY wouldn't have an exponentially greater value to Lebron AND these companies, NBA contract/results aside.

That means that he has pretty much already decided where he's going.

The rest of these proceedings are a formality.

It's true, I thought this was well known.....his new Nike deal is almost half of his last deal because Nike was losing alot of money with him.

^ nike losing $ with Lebron? I have a hard time believing that one buddy. I wonder where you get your info from.

I hope Wade, Bosh, and James having a lunch together is a sign. They are saying Bosh is most likely going to the Heat, so that's one piece in place...

Bosh alone might be good enough.

It's hard to pass on as many elite players as you can get, especially when one of them is Lebron. But to pair Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, whose skills would appear to complement each other very well, and still have enough money to sign a handful of notable free agents might be the better scenario.

Wade and Bosh would probably compliment each other very well, whereas having Wade, Bosh, and Lebron might detract from what they can each do.

Russian billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov will pitch his global vision, showing James the vast network his resources reach, including Russia, Brooklyn, China, a network that could make him a billionaire.Hip-hop mogul and longtime James friend Jay-Z will propose James' own clothing line plus a new fragrance, as well as opportunities in entertainment.

- Jigga cant come any better than that? this is LeBron James he's already grossed in the 100's of millions years ago, not some broke hood dude thats never had anything (Beans? State Property??)

........after seeing the breakdown last night on Fastbreak, id like to see Bron and Bosh in New Jersey. love the coach, love the PG, they have a center, and with Bosh that team would look pretty good. didnt they say New Jersey can get all three Bosh/Bron/Wade?
