Markdowns for promos and sales start on Thursday/Friday and run thru the weekend.

Markdown for clearance items and basically any item they're phasing out happen the first Tuesday of every month.
Best way to explain it is by looking at any item that ends in $0.97 cents, whatever is marked at that price is basically clearance before it hits the hash, and the first Tuesday of every month is usually when they mark it down to its final price.
