i remember, but there were still noticeable differences like the drawstring tips being gold when they should be silver ect. If these ones on TRR are rep then let this be a education session for the community here because I cant functionally tell the difference.


Here's my TRR pair next to a retail pair of blue laker dons (bought from oneness) and lakers regular home authentic (from Corporate) as better jerry logo reference. I pulled out my kobe tookie jersey and compared the logo stitching and they were identical stitching and applique texture…

So again, i cant tell man. Someone add more insight on other details if there are actually noticeable differences.

100% Polyester on all of the ones that have a tag. Realize my Grizzlies (which I bought from TRR) has no tags. Damn, so now I’m worried about my Pistons and my Grizzzlies.

These are fake, the Pistons Dons didn't restock in 2022. IIRC, they dropped along with the Blazers Dons which havent restocked either

bought a lakers home from realreal and I'm like 90% sure they are reps....
the tag inside says 80% cotton/20% polyester, all my other dons are 100% polyester (although I don't have one from this early batch so not entirely sure here)
the mitchell and ness tag doesnt have a barcode/price sticker on it
the draw string material feels off and is extra long....like almost comes down to entire length of the shorts.

I think pre-2020 was just like that. My Spring 2019 joints are the same.

see this is what im saying its impossible to tell lol - i really think these are china look/see samples with piece-mealed tags.

Another easy way to verify. You take both, put it in a trash can and see what color it burns.

I was just trying to keep the discussion alive so it's more constructive toward specifics on how to identify reps vs authentic retail Dons.

Drawstrings too long or too short = fake or real pairs? no conclusion
Inside tags Chinese vs English = fake or real pairs? (the 80% cotton tag is obviously from a fleece hoodie) - no real conclusion
I posted a comparison pic of the jerry logo between 2 other pairs from authentic sources = wrong guesses by NTers here and no further insight - no actual conclusion.

was it possible that piece-mealed pairs made it to the retail market? no real constructive feedback (I worked in the clothing industry in the past so I know that samples are gets made for sales reps - these pairs would be missing retail tags, or tags put on as place-holders. Asian tags would also be diff from US tags because the US has regulations that require specific information to be put on tags. I also know clothing companies would make the bulk of the product in oversea factories and then swap labels with compliance info once received in the US - to include RN#, MFG DATE, etc)

Anyways, that's why I was all over this topic tbh - peeps here who threw out TRR pairs are reps/fakes - how bad is it, and how to confirm realistically? no conclusion, but they are fake. sure. ok (shrug). There was a lot of knee-jerk response on minor details and to me is actually more misleading than educational.
