cmon, lets be real.  not that im tryin to gas up the aldo warwagon too much, but those guys wouldnt be that much of a challenge for him.  If Cerrone wants to bring that reckless striking at Aldo, he would get put to sleep with the quickness.  On the mat, Aldo still (allegedly, since we never get to see his jits) would work him over.

Henderson might be the only challenge for him in that division, but I dont think he has any real chance of taking Aldo out.

i want to give those guys the benefit of the doubt and think they'd put up a good challenge against aldo.  once in a while mma will surprise you (edgar beating bj twice, fedor losing, etc.) it would make more sense for aldo to first fight the guys in the WEC.  beat a top contender or two then face the champ in a Champion versus Champion superfight.  you can't just throw him right into the ufc with those giant lightweights.  moving up in the ranks there is like going through hell.

Aldo needs to move to 155 in the UFC, I doubt 10 lbs would make him any less of a great fighter.

I think Benson is pretty damn good. I honestly think Benson has a good chance of winning. I would still peg Aldo as a favorite but Benson has a chin, GREAT cardio, athletic, and has awesome top control.

In the press conference Reed Harris (WEC GM) was hinting at Aldo possibly facing Cowboy. He still has to fight Grispi though if Grispi gets past Koch (which I completely expect). He'll probably fight Mendes too but I see that going worse then the Faber fight.

i'm not a fan of jones but the thing i respect most about him is he tries to murder you when he's in top position.  it doesn't matter if he's in your full guard, he will rearrange your face.  he uses his elbows as weapons.  the elbow strikes he hit hamill and vera with were brutal.  i don't understand why other guys don't attack the same way.  i wish gsp would use elbows like that since he's always in top position anyway.
