 at saying that westbrook's detractors will see how important westbrook is to the thunder. well no ****.

if you lose what seems like 33% of your offense, with no time to prep, you're gonna have a bad time.

im a russy fan, btw.

Wow. OKC Thunder's Russell Westbrook undergoing surgery to repair meniscus tear in right knee. No timetable for return

Russell Westbrook has never missed a game in his NBA career...until now.

GM Sam Presti: "Player health is our 1st & foremost concern. Our medical team & several specialists determined Russell undergo a procedure"

RT @NBAGuru: Should be noted, a meniscus is NOT an ACL or MCL. World Peace recently tore meniscus, had surgery, only to return in 12 days

#patrickbeverleyeffect
ron is wolverine though

Even with Westbrook the thunder don't match
Up with the heat well.

I know. But that's why they play the games. It's just crazy to see all these teams get injuries to important players.

spurs would probably be more entertaining. But a spur thunder WCF just got less exciting

Also duncan never won DPOY? I had no idea

When does the first NBA finals game start? It is June right? Westbrook might be ready for the finals if OKC makes it there.

Lamb better be in the rotation, and KD gets all the shots he wants now since thats what everybody wanted.

Pressure is on him

if this 2 games every week pace continues, he'll be back by the Western conference Finals.

He is getting the lateral meniscus repaired which will delay his recovery time. If they see if's a small tear which can just be removed, recovery time is cut down by several weeks. It just depends on what they find and what Westbrook wants to do.

man after the sports announcers kept saying last week he is a good player due to him being healthy...they always jinx everything

I don't think it was a cheap shot, dude was already in position to go for the steal right when he heard the whistle

get well soon west....btw im not a fan of him too

He was bound to get hurt at some point, it's just terrible it happened in the playoffs. That streak was getting up there..

I know people are already saying "Let's see what KD is like without Russ"... I expect he'll struggle  Wouldn't any team struggle losing their 2nd best player and point guard and no immediate way of replacing him? If you replaced him with an above average "pass first" PG then yeah.. then you can see how Durant does without him.

Just sucks... I don't think they were beating the Heat anyway, short of KD and Russ going unconscious and dropping 80 combined.. but I'll miss Russ playing when it matters most.

wasn't a dirty play. he was already going for the steal when they blew the whistle. was it unnecessary since westbrook was clearly stopping to call the timeout? maybe, but this is playoff basketball and if he has the chance to get a steal when he sees westbrook stopping, he should go for it. i'd be disappointed if he didn't try to make that play.
