Made in USA pairs, pretty much yes. 999 is slightly more narrow.

Thanks. I was looking at these at Bloomingdale's but they were half a size smaller than what I usually wear in New Balance. They were a good deal and different from everything else I own so I picked them up anyway.

Unfortunately, I had to send back my North Seas. They were really nice in hand, but the v4 silhouette in a standard D width just doesn’t work for my feet. So if I want a v4, it’s core colorways for me. Bummer.

I’m not really seeing it re: the upper. Also I don’t know what a Hoka is but didn’t Steve Smith design both of the shoes? (unless we are talking about newer 990s).
