I might be in favor of changing the overtime first possession walk off TD. At least give the opposition the chance to match considering they played an even game up until OT.
I've always felt this way too.

Ironically enough, he didn't actually tear his knee running the ball. Happened while he was making a tackle on a INT return which is pretty freakish.Obviously things aren’t always the same.. but look at the rest of davis’ career after those titles
The whole sitting games out at the end of the season is a pretty new phenomenon just like 'load management' in the NBA and it's scary thinking imo.
Saquon is in year 7 and this is his 1st year over 300 carriesObviously things aren’t always the same.. but look at the rest of davis’ career after those titles
Arguably the game of that season too, both teams were full strength and delivered a regular season classic

Unless a player is already hampered/battling an injury, I don't have a problem letting them play to try to reach contract incentives or reach for career marks or historic numbers.
Those were injuries well after the fact that took a toll on Davis’s career.
Yea I remember Caldwell getting flamed hard for it the year they had probably the best overall Colts squad under Peyton and they started out like 14-0.The Colts was resting players when was 13-2 a few times and always killed their momentum.
The injury that took him out and derailed his career wasn’t even from rushing like rolaholic said. Then at this point stop playing if you’re afraid of something happening. The very next season he played 4 games, at 27
And then 5 after that.. and 8 in his final season
He had 417 touches in that 1998 season and 499 total inclusive of the playoffs
Rest of his career he had: 329 total
I'm sayingWeek 18 is going to give Saquon TD's career trajectory
Might as well never play football at all
Eagles fans hate Sirianni I'm surprised to see he has any defenders of his decisions lmao
especially that O-Line.
How does that take away from the pride of blocking for a 2k yard rusher/potential record breaker?4/5ths of our oline has missed games this season
Needing one extra game to get the rushing record just feels a bit different to me.

Even more impressive doing it with injuries
if they don't win the SB then it all be for nothin
not at least giving it a go is disrespectful to the game man.
Records are to be broken.
And now they put a target on their backs (media, fan wise) if they don’t win it all.
Hell, I could see us all here next week thrashing these dudes if they get bounced by the Packers.
A bunch of sub .500 fans of teams saying what should have be done.
Focus on them draft boards fellas
