I tried to do that a few months ago. They added the cash back to my account, then took it away right before the quarterly payout.

Ok there.  I have personally tried to do a request to get cash back AFTER I've placed the order and didn't open the ebates portal before the purchase and they denied it on multiple occassions.  They specifically said if the ebates store portal was not open PRIOR to the purchase (keep that in mind, PRIOR) then you are ineligible for the rebate.  Obviously if that was not the case, anyone can request a cash back and totally abuse this system.  

If you were able to get cash back outside of the norm, consider yourself lucky.

Incorrect.  I just don't like when people say incorrect information and lead people down the wrong path.  Again, I've tried this (yes, for SNKRS too) forgetting to open a Nike portal and prior to the purchase and they denied the rebate because the transaction purchase happened after the fact.

you might get away with filing "wheres my cash back," but more than likely if ebates do not receive money from nike for "the purchase," then you would not be getting any cash back..

the sad part is there are actually people who do give a damn. Once they hear a couple of members, who were once shipping confirmationless like themselves, confirm they received confirmation, that group of people gets excited.

I hate it. Probably the worst thing about all of these threads. Right up there with me hating the taxes i pay each 2 weeks.

For the ebates users...download the ebates cash back button for your browser, then it has a little pop up that says "activate cash back?" Every time you're on an ebates eligible site. I usually click it when I'm about to check out.
