Do you have any old school Virtual Console games? Punch Out Wii is coming this year... It's one title I'm looking forward to.

Question to anyone that knows. -- If you play a Gamecube game on Wii, where does it save to? Can you save to SD card, or the internal memory?

I just bought Zelda TP on clearance brand new $10. Don't know where my GC and mem cards are boxed up at the moment.

Not to positive but im pretty sure a Gamecube game needs a GC memory card
This is correct.

like most people, i'm a little frustrated about the wii's %!#$!@ titles at the moment. i have been a nintendo fan from the start. i still own everysystem from the NES to the N64 and i play them regularly. After all the mario titles and zelda, there just haven't been any good games. the *+@+ is justall minigames. hopefully punch out doesn't disappoint.

I was aware of that. I was about to just say "eBay" but had more to talk about.

And if he wasn't or for people that don't know - know they know... N...intendo. Chris Wallace also repped Super Nintendo in 'Juicy'.

And thanks for the answer back up top.

Target has a buy 2 get 1 free going on now. Madworld and House of Dead Overkill are

that game madworld, looks pretty dope.

and punch-out!!? well, i think we all feel the same about punch-out!
smile.gif

i hope madworld comes to another system though. i had a wii and i never played it, it was pretty much only fun when friends came over, other than that it wasoff. i kinda miss mario kart though. oh well, maybe when the library gets a bit more impressive i will re-purchase it. for now... i will be getting an electricblue dsi, which i reserved at gamestop.

also, check out my blog for a nice hands on demo of the dsi from a nintendo demo girl at the GDC, link found below.

thanks!
Be the King Hippo of your own home with the Punch-Out!! Heavyweight Contender Kit
by JC Fletcher { 2 hours ago }
Punch-Out!! features motion controls, sure, but that may not be enough immersion for you. Luckily, Nintendo and Amazon have just the thing for you if you want to really feel what it's like not only to fight King Hippo, but to be King Hippo. Or even to fight one King Hippo on the screen and another on your desk, while dressed as King Hippo!

The Amazon-exclusive Punch-Out!! Heavyweight Contender Kit includes a replica King Hippo crown and boxer shorts (belly-button bandages not included), as well as an inflatable desktop King Hippo punching bag and a "Doc Louis Remedy Chocolate Bar." It's like an extra-cool limited edition version of Punch-Out!!, except that it, uh, doesn't include Punch-Out!! The kit sells separately for $34.99, and will be available concurrently with the game on May 18.

I'll give MadWorld a try either tonight or tomorrow and let you know.

I'm a bit late on this, but there haven't been any real stellar deals yet...

The only one that might be good is coming up at the top of the hour...

Amazon Gold Box: All Wii
 • 9:00am ET -- Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party - $29.98 [expired!]
 • 1:00pm ET -- Ready 2 Rumble Revolution - $29.98
 • 5:00pm ET -- "The Milky Way's got nothing in comparison." (Super Mario Galaxy, maybe?)
 • 6:00pm ET -- "Give me a W! Give me an I! Give me another I! What does that spell?" (Wii Cheer, maybe?)
 • 9:00pm ET -- "That's so cute! The animals think they're people!" (Animal Crossing: City Folk, maybe?)

Mario Galaxy maybe in less than a half hour... For those who don't have it.

Some more info on Punch-Out!!

 • Players: 1-2
 • Characters: Little Mac, Glass Joe, King Hippo, Doc Louis, Von Kaiser and other unannounced favorites.
 • Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Players can obtain special "Star Punches," which allow Little Mac to take more Health from his rival in a single punch.
 • Motion Control (Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers) Punch-Out!! uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to simulate throwing punches. Use the Nunchuk to throw a left punch and the Wii Remote to throw a right punch.
 • Classic Control (Wii Remote NES style) Fans of the NES version will be excited to see option to play using the classic layout from the original NES controller. Use the 1 and 2 buttons along with the cross pad to throw hooks and jabs or to dodge.

narum help me out here....if im only interested in the retro games, i.e. the NES games from back in our day, can I get these on the Wii and/or the DS? And ifso which is better? Outside of just going and buying an OG Nintendo (or playing on the computer), Ive been interested in picking something up if I can play theold school stuff. Ive never really been into the newer games outside of Madden.

As of right now the only real option is the Wii. DSi may open the door to more NES titles, but nothing confirmed yet. The plus is that it has theSD card in it for downloadable games, but it's useless right now.

I don't have a DS yet, but have been waiting to see how the DSi develops. If you could play old school games on it, I guarantee it would sell out fasterthan the Wii. It's cheaper and portable.

As for the quality of the NES/SNES games on the Wii, they are far better than their old counterparts. The resolution has been up'd and they're a littlecrisper. I have a component cable with my Wii to run at 480p, granted not HD but it's better than standard TV.

I only have Punch-out, Mario 3, and Zelda 1 for NES games right now on my Wii. $5 a pop isn't too bad either considering it's better quality than theOG.

And Madden on the Wii is hit or miss. Some people like the controls, but I am not really into it. It's like the PS2 version with motion controls.

^ Word, so it would be downloading the retro games to the Wii? And is there a link to the games that are currently available? And are most (or any) of thosethe real true game and not some touched up one?

There are tons available... And they are carbon copies the OG versions. Except Punch-out, because Iron Mike was removed for the white version Mr. Dream

I was extremely disappointed with MadWorld. but ima give t another try later. I remember when I first got NO More Heroes. I thought it was horrible anddidn't play it for a week. Now I think it's pretty much the greatest game i've ever played.
