The unspoken assumption under the legitimacy of American institutions is the belief that all the members representing its 3 branches will always act in good faith. Conservative justices who try to create the narrative that the media is to blame for how the public perceives the supreme court conveniently ignore that the public watched conservative legislators game the system for 12 years to secure the majority.

It's not the media's fault people don't believe in the integrity of the Supreme Court. It's the fault of those who nominated the three new justices, and it's the fault of all the justices who accepted to go along with the charade. They have nobody to blame but themselves.
