Well, as we all know, America has gotten quite greedy with its imperialism for centuries, and often we need resources,but instead of trading fairly, we respond by raping and pillaging sovereign countries and governments to instill our "democracy" or a banana republic.
The cost of making such deals has reared its ugly head, as seen with the Vietnam War, Iraq War, 9/11, Syria, etc in recent decades, and now we get Trump, who the people thought will end "bad trades" when in reality he stands to only profit himself and a small elite.

But I have faith that after this tragic episode, the nation will realize their faults and become a country that will work with other fairly and not screw over their own citizens in the name of nationalism. Current I see this as America at its lowest, far lower than Nixon and Bush years.

So the White House can fire the guy investigating them and hire someone that won't investigate em?

Senate won't act either and instead confirm the replacement with the 51 votes Trump needs.

All we need now is a war as a distraction. oh wait.. Afghanistan requires more boots on the ground.

So blatant and it looks like the GOP will stay in power for a while. Gerrymandering laws to steal the House majority, stole the 2016 Presidential election by using Russian hacks, voted in a strong Conservative in the Supreme Court by changing the confirmation rules, and NOW will control the FBI and DOJ whom will no doubt cater to Trump.
