she is a staunch originalist, and because her worldview is inherently imperialistic, I imagine she will be willing to join some of Justice Thomas' lunatic concurrences/dissents, in which he writes that a century and a half of jurisprudence was wrong and has to be overturned because it did not accord with his idea of the "original" understanding

add Gorsuch (who already joins them) and Kavanaugh (joins them less, but his night is still young) and these lunatic rantings might become plurality opinions

Personally I think republicans have tied themselves to a sinking ship. I mean, Trump's favorite lapdog might lose his senate seat in South Carolina to a Black guy . They're tanking and they know it, which is why they're so pressed about the SCOTUS nomination, it's gonna be the last "win" they get for a looooooooooong time.

thing is, they could do this after the election and it wouldn’t impact certain close races

but trump gotta be trump and he thinks it will come down to legal challenges to say mail in ballots.. or even as far as having the electors go against the popular vote

but the truth is this is going cause them to lose seats in the senate, well going be the icing on the cake of why they lose the senate (just another example of ignoring the people)

sick and infectious people are showing up to these things to try and force this through.. got people unwilling to take tests just so they don’t look worse publicly
