Guerendo needs patience with his runs. Which I'm sure will come with time. Honestly surprised they haven't signeda veteran to back up Mason. Brieda is really washed at this point?

Those Hargrave clips don't look good at all. He's becoming this team's new Kinlaw.

“Absurd?” Coaches around the league bleed the clock on last drives in regulation to set up for a field goal attempt with zeros on the clock.

No ones saying Shanahan should’ve abandoned the pass in favor of the run. Niners received the ball, converted 2nd and 6 to their own 43 yard line with 1:42 left on the clock. At this point, niners had enough time to “attack” by running a balanced offense, especially since Mason was ripping off 5-10 yard runs against their line in the second half. They only needed 25 more yards to get into Moody’s range. Rams had one time out left and were playing the pass all the way. Run the ball from the 43, bleed the clock to one minute before you run your next play and make them use their last timeout after your first or second down play. How many times do we hear coaches and commentators say “you’re playing your opponent and the clock?” Sure, Bell dropped the ball and he shoulders a lot of the blame, but coming out with 3 straight pass plays in that situation was dumb.

call it hindsight if you want, but how many more times do we have to watch shanahan have play calling melt downs late in games like this? He’s a great schemer and play designer but he doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes, especially when it comes to being too married to passing.

Nothing you just said rebuts the idea that if our players executed, we win the game. I dont understand how we can say "how many more times do we have to watch shanahan have play calling melt downs late in games like this?" when he schemed open a game winning play that was dropped. Kyle gets far too much blame for his players not making plays. If Bell catches the ball, we bleed the clock and win the game. Its really that simple.

BTW, we ran our 1st and 10 play from the 43 yard line with 1:12 left on the clock. I am still calling it hindsight.

I doubt heads roll yet but no reason Yiadom and Bell should see the field next week. Campbell shouldn't stay in on obvious passing downs since he can't cover. I would assume there should be a big emphasis on hustle/taking plays off this week with the defense. Then something has to change with the special teams unit because as a whole that was a terrible performance.

Other than that there's a few things I feel should be addressed but won't like the oline so no point in thinking it will.

Realistically if we want to turn the ship around and still compete for the division we need to win 4 of the next 5 while winning both division games before our bye week. Any less and I feel like we're going for a wild card spot since I can see the Seahawks winning 10-11 games based on their schedule.

IMO, I think he didn't have confidence in BA at that point in the game. But regardless, I would've let that rip.

Purdy teaching BA a lesson in work ethic

Yes BCB could’ve let it rip and hit BA on that deep post. But BA was dropping 50% of Purdy’s passes yesterday and I fully believe Brock has lost confidence in Aiyuk NTM he is probably perturbed that BA’s hold in has left the offense out of rhythm.

I, too, would’ve passed on that deep ball to BA so as to teach that selfish clown a lesson

I’m 100% ALL IN for trading Aiyuk to the highest bidder THIS SEASON.

Jennings is WR1 as far as I’m concerned

In BA’s tenure with SF so far, NOT ONCE has BA even caught 11 passes for 175 yards and scored three TD’s in a game and JuJuan did it much faster than Aiyuk can dream of

Aiyuk ain’t proven he is worth $30 mil and he never will. Send his xxx packing to DEN for Sutton or LV for Davante

My thing is it was a tie game and the clock was on their side given it was after the two minute warning and the rams timeout situation wasn’t favorable. If you’re losing and playing against the clock, I get a more pass reliant approach, but it wasn’t needed in that situation.

After they got that initial first down, there’s no way the Rams should be seeing the ball again. Run the ball, bleed the clock. Even if you score, you don’t want to score too early.

And even while playing to win, you want to bleed clock because if you score too early, Stafford is a proven capable qb. The way the Rams were moving the ball later in the 4th quarter, there was no way they should be getting the ball again in regulation. Let alone being gifted the ball.

Guys need to make plays and that Ronnie Bell drop was terrible. But the playcalling needs to be smarter in that type of situation to where the results aren’t problematic if guys don’t make plays.

It’s one thing to lose games. That’s inevitable. But that was a stupid, avoidable inexcusable loss.

Shanny is looking funny in the light
Poor clock mgmt and piss poor play calling has always been his downfall

Mcvay did a great job of isolating campbell each time on man and had him lost on an island

Our dbs and lbs look slow (minus freddy) campbell hasnt been a great fit next to freddy either

Trent and aiyuk held out and have been huge disappointments, look 2-3 games too slow

Now hargrave out, malek slides in and who’s left

With all the 9ers injuries piling up, I wouldn’t be surprised if they look to trade Aiyuk for some pieces on the defensive end especially now that Hargrave out for the year and secondary looks slow

“Trade Aiyuk” is gonna be my narrative the next 4-6 weeks unless this fool decides to start playing some winning football

Lol calm down bro. No one is about to trade for BA with that contract with how he's looked so far.

And that’s the 49ers fault. They put themselves in this mess and now they are vastly overpaying for a #2 receiver with #1 money

And we wonder why we ain’t won a Super Bowl since 1995. All we do is overpay for a bunch of primadonas LOL

Jimmy G, Bosa, Aiyuk to name a few

Bosa is highly overpaid. Bosa hasn’t been a major impact player since like his first 3-4 years in the league

Hargrave seems like an overpay. He has been worse than he was in Philly.

Ward as well. He has slipped.

This team has a lot of work to do
