The Kanye West album rumor-mobile is kicking into high gear. After reports that the album is finished, and that it's "dark", and that it's likely out June 18, Rolling Stone has a bit more speculative information.
As previously reported, Daft Punk may appear on a track on the album. "It was very raw," Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter told Rolling Stone. "He was rapping-- kind of screaming primally."
Other names that have been thrown into the mix as collaborators on the album, according to Rolling Stone: Skrillex, members of Odd Future, 2 Chainz, and John Legend. As mentioned, the album may also feature Chicago rappers Chief Keef and King L, and producer Young Chop.
It sounds like West has made his Paris studio a kind of zany lab where he's throwing in as many components as possible and seeing what happens.
Agreed. The less of these bootleg rappers on this album the better. The less I hear of 2 Chainz, Chief Keef and Big Sean the better. Leave them for the Cruel Winter album Kanye, not your solo joint. The Kanye West album rumor-mobile is kicking into high gear. I really hope that 2 Chainz is nowhere near this album absolutely can't stand that guy anymore.
skrillex
odd future
2 chainz
keef
how about NO..
i really hope rolling stone is trolling.
If those are the actual features, it looks like Kanye is trying to tailor his album to appeal to a wide audience (ie let's get Skrillex and Tyler to appeal to so and so, then we'll get Keef and 2 Chainz to appeal to these people, etc). That almost never works out well when artists try to do that.skrillex

Agreed
I can't doubt Kanye's feature choices. Imagine if in 2005 you saw an article saying "Kanye's next album will feature the likes of Paul Wall, Brandy, Adam Levine, and Jamie Foxx", would you think that he'd be making an album with the quality of Late Registration? I doubt it.
