Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Family is having an argument in a group text... What’s worse, Penelope Cruz snitching on Johnny Depp in Blow or Sharon Stone trying to take the money/deposit box from Bobby DeNiro in Casino?

Cruz, easy.

You knew from jump what Stone was about. She was Lester's, always. That money was always gettin taken by her.

Cruz came outta left with her tantrum.

Sorry To Bother You was great. 8/8.
This. I didn't watch the trailer, walked in blind except for seeing the poster and buzz of media and plotline. It was a surprise and gave me quite some chuckles. I think it was mostly the white crowd or something, but the theater I was in seem to have 0 sense of humor, this being in NYC at Angelika Theater if you know that theater.
I think it was definitely something of a A-/B+ rating for me

Just watched Blow on Friday night with a new chick who’s never seen it before and she was infuriated at Penelope’s character for that. I was quite amused but I remember I felt the same after seeing Blow the first time. Honestly I don’t think it’s even close between her and Sharon’s character in Casino.

I didn't realize this doc came out so quickly.. I just saw a blurb about it the other day. Will watch for sure.

Little Italy looks like another 0% RT potential.. I think Emma Roberts could have had a nice little career but she just kind of fizzled out. Speaking of awful movies, I tried watching Gotti the other day but made it about 5 minutes in and I had to tap out.. I'll try again soon.

Yeah I was on the Blow side of the argument but the old heads were defending Sharon Stone. A couple of us kept saying Bobby knew what he was getting into & that it was always going to result in what happened... It was a great movie argument/text convo though... I'll post if we have another one... The last one we had about a year or 2 ago was who would kick who's ***, John Wick or The Equalizer? I had to go with Wick... The counter arguments were funny though because they kept on bringing up Equalizer & Man on Fire...

Damn Russell Crowe is washed up.

I kept looking thinking it was that one older actor that kinda looks like him or maybe a no name that resembled him but dude really gained thw weight and aged for this role

Ready Player One the movie was a different experience than Ready Player One the book

The movie was nonstop action after a certain point. That was cool

But I think I still like the book better.

Watched the Robin Williams doc last night. I enjoyed it, was really sad more than anything. Knew about the Parkinson's, never knew about the early stages of dementia.

If you want to waste time on seeing how bad it was in full, go for it.

It was unplanned but I'm in theater now watching the Equalizer 2 :pimp:

Probably catch Blindspotting later this weekend.

One of the few movies that makes a total difference seeing it in 3D.

Absolutely amazing in 3D. The coins and on-screen items literally jump into your lap. All Hollywood studios need to take note.

A little late to the game but I really like chef Marcus Samuelsson‘s PBS show No Passport Required. Caught the Michigan so last week talmbout the Arab Muslim & non-Muslim culture/food there and the Nawlins one this week talmbout the Cajun, Creole, & South East Asians.

 & :smokin @ Viet dude that owned his own spot & had this raspy voice with the thick half Viet & have Nawlins accent. Ish was so funny & dope at the same time.

That’s it. I’ve had ENOUGH! One more Netflix movie that suckers me into watching. I swear. Just one more and I’m ****ing done with Netflix original movies. God damn.
