People really out here dying to see Travis Scott/Astroworld?

travis scott scripted crocodile tears apology
so phony with it

he could've done more to alleviate the situation, but instead he did the exact opposite

timeline is pretty ugh

People in attendance said he stopped the show multiple times to get the paramedics attention and get people help

travis scott is a corporate actor working on behalf of big business. he's a tool and abettor for corps
he's been pushed on an impressionable audience to sell more than just his terrible music
Isnt that every mainstream artist?

You know whats going to solve all this nonsense....The Metaverse , aint no one going outside anymore. We all going to be in Ready Player one mode and living a sim life.

then you'll get mfs calling the SWAT team as a prank and hacking into your home Internet to put unspeakable porn all over your walls...guy gets mad at you online and deletes your ZuckerBucks, now you can't download dinner.

sounds way worse in a timeline this dumb.

What if no one really died and he's just a plant sponsored by Zuckerberg to stress the benefits of the Metaverse. Or even worse, he's funded by Zuckerberg and the people really did die🤔 the timing is suspicious.
"Next Travis concert will be held in the Metaverse. Each ticket will come with a free headset and a $50 doordash credit to avoid any crowds."
Just last night l was thinking that this stuff could be avoided with the Metaverse, but l didn't put 2 and 2 together.

Was watching the stream and he stopped several times and asked what’s going on . Also saw somebody passed out , told people don’t touch him and directed medics his way .

There are a lot of people to blame for this , but I think the bulk goes to live nation and Travis team for the preparation , more than Travis the individual . Unfortunately passing out at these festivals isn’t unusual, so I don’t think he realized the magnitude of what was happening

Super unfortunate and several people dropped the ball regardless and rip to people who passed.

This. I was just telling my brother the same thing. Ppl passing out at concerts arent an uncommon thing, so in Travis defense it’s kinda hard when youre on stage to really know if this is a typical pass out or that its a dead body. Im not sure what more ppl wanted Travis to do outside of the stoppages he did do as well as tellin the paramedics to help. Like others have said this is more so on the venue/organizers as well as the attendees than I see it being personally Travis fault. I know Travis was big on this always being a festival style event but due to the massive amount of people he can draw going forward he needs to just do stadium performances were ppl have their own seats and spacing opposed to packing 50k+ ppl together with nowhere to go. I know that wont bring the same type of atmosphere but it’s a much more safer route in my opinion.

Coudda stopped the show but like other dude said, Trav maybe thought he “did enough” by stopping for a bit and directign staff where to go and then continuing. Youre a big artist, hyped putting on a show in front of 50k, not some tiny club. You probably arent thinking rationally as the adrenaline is kicking in. Unfortunate af, we can put the blame on whoever, staff organizers, Trav and yeah they ALL contributed to this and now its how to make sure this never happens again.

I blame Nike for doing a shoe release there
People were breaking through barriers earlier in the day and I'm sure that was because they were trying to get the shoes

That shoe release brought out a different crowd and that crowd wasn't ready for a super intense drugged out rage concert

For them bum AM1’s?

I mean people mad at travis scott but mosh pits been a thing since I can remember
anyone who has been in a mosh pit knows Mosh Pit Law: body on the floor, stop. help.

that plus bands have famously stopped shows to tell crowd to control themselves, to "take one step back, now another, and another."

as The Guy With The Mic, you are the master of ceremonies...you must stop and help, now.

...at least, that was my theory.

Was about to say this very thing, but Cosmic beat me to it. Pit Etiquette is very real.

One thing I worry about with stopping the show Is them kids getting unruly and rioting. They weren't just going to calmly walk out of there in a single file line.

We seen videos of a few people trying to get the staff attention, but for every single one the kids with sense there were literally thousands with no care or regard for safety.

Where the **** is simple regard for human life? No way would I be comfortable knocking anybody over, stepping on folks to watch ANYBODY perform.

I know Puffy must’ve reached out to Travis. Something similar happened to him early in his promoting career.

This. A lot of people are acting as if him stopping the show would have immediately solved the issue.

You’ve got a festival full of young folks that are rushing the stage, that have already rushed VIP, and the expectation is that turning off the music would calm everyone down? It really might have made it even worse.

I don't think that's quite what people are saying. It's more like if Travis had stopped the music and talked to the crowd a little bit, not just dropped the mic and walked off stage. If he would've stopped and explained what was happening and directed the crowd, they would've listened and maybe some of this could have been avoided.
