Planning a Las Vegas Vacation.......Need Help!

I plan on going to Vegas in mid July for Vacation. I have never been to the left coast and have no idea what to expect. Me and my girl are going (both olderthan 21).We are looking at the Circus Circus or Harrah Hotels. Can you guys recommend me the following....

-Hotel
-Nightlife
-Restaurants
-Shows
-Shopping

hotel: circus circus or harrahs are good for deals. for your first time i say live it up and go to bellagio or venetian

nightlife: pure , bank or jet for the holywood type of crowd. poetry has a good mix of people and a good vibe.

restraunts: there are seriously too many options. bellagio is one of the best buffets. theres fine dining everywhere you go.

shows: "O" at the bellagio ( 4 months in advance)

shopping: theres a vegas sneaker guide, other than that, the malls have the same stuff as anywhere else.

from past experiences I would suggest that you not stay at circus circus. The room wasnt in the same building as the casino, rooms were old and smelled likecigarettes. I would suggest middle of the strip or even the beginning, MGM and Treasure Island have both been good. SHows I say any cique de sole show
