I was planning on coming up to St. Louis with my wife on Friday and staying Saturday night as well. I have a couple questions:

1) I know that there have been some flooding issues around there, but I can't seem to find a news update anywhere. Is St. Louis flooded badly? What aboutsouth of there since that's where I'm coming from.

2) What are some cool things to do? (I thought about going to the zoo and to the Arch since my wife has never been to STL before)

3) Could you recommend some nice places to eat? (We really don't have a preference on food, but we are always interested in good Sushi places)

4) Could you recommend any nice shoe stores? (We don't really have any upscale spots for kicks around here and I'd like to see what's out there)

Thanks for any of your help guys. I've been searching around, but not all stores have websites and stuff that are easy to find. Any direction you couldpoint me in would be awesome.

1. Flooding should not be an issue. we are expecting some rain over the course of the next few days, but should be gone by the time you two arrive. there wassome pretty high waters southwest of the city, but those have since receded.

2. the zoo and the arch are both great places to spend time. especially since the zoo is free, and it's one of the better ones in the nation. the delmarloop is another fun place. alot of unique shops, restaurants, and a wide variety of small vendors can be found there. city museum, which is downtown, isbasically a playground for adults. last time i went it was like 5 dollars to get in i believe, you can look it up online i'm sure. the science center isalso free, alot of different exhibits pass through there, the bodies exhibit recently left.

3. while you're downtown at the arch, stay on laclede's landing, and you will find just about any type of food you're looking for, as well as a tonof bars and shops. my personal favorite place to eat there is the old spaghetti factory. check out the hill if you're a fan of italian food. also west portplaza has a few nice restaurants. ozzie's bar and grill is great, that would of course be ozzie smith's restaurant. a great collection of all his goldgloves, awards, and other baseball memorabilia should keep you entertained. a sushi restaurant is also in west port, it's called the drunken fish. theyhave killer sushi there. last but not least, dogtown, which is across the interstate from the zoo, has some good eating. most notably seamus mcdaniels, whichis an irish pub with the best cheeseburger and fries you've ever had.

4. and of course the most important part. i work at a store called R-Sole which is in the delmar loop. we have alot of different kicks. we get allquickstrikes, jordan's, forces, reeboks, creative recs, and i could go on and on. we'll have the opening day packs this saturday, and we also stillhave some countdown and levi's packs left too. should be right up your alley if you don't have a high end store in your town. there's also a nikeoutlet in the saint louis mills mall, north of the city. it's like all outlets, usually hit or miss. i haven't been in a month or so, but last time iwent there were some pretty good deals. finally, champs in the saint louis galleria is one of the top champs accounts in the country, and they always have anice selection.

hope this helps you dude. if you have any other questions lemme know.
